Auntie Em

Jackson's Auntie Em came last week to help take care of us. And take care of us she did! You name it and she did it. From watching both kids so Mike and I could have a date night to making dinners, snacks, letting me nap, doing "e-o dump", holding Anna, and pushing Jackson on the swing...she was Super Woman!! Even Bear was thrilled to see her!

Many Firsts

Today is Anna's 1 month birthday so what better way to celebrate than with a couple of firsts?

Anna's first is sleeping in her crib for the first time (and yes we did take all the stuffed animals and blankets out that you see here in the picture). Jackson had 2 firsts today. #1 being that he decided to write on our wall with crayon (thank goodness for washable crayons). He now knows crayons are only for paper!

And #2---He went poo poo in the toilet!!! All on his own too. He asked to sit on the toilet saying he wanted to pee but out came poop! He's very proud, as are we.

On our own

Well after one week of Mike being home and 2.5 weeks of my mom being here (followed by a weekend with my Dad here too) we are finally on our own. But not to worry--my sister comes next week! So far we've survived the first two days of being on our own. I'm truly enjoying every minute with our two kids! Here are some recent shots of Anna
