Popsicles

What do you do when it's 107 degrees? You eat lots of popsicles! This was Anna's first (ever popsicle)--apple juice popsicles and they were a hit!

Anna just turned 18 months old! Where has the time gone?? She is turning out to be quite a girlie girl and I have to admit we are loving it! It's a far cry from the trucks and dinosaurs we have been surrounded with all these years. Anna is not a baby anymore but much more like a true toddler. It's strange getting out of the baby phase. She wants to do everything her big brother does. Jackson couldn't be a better big brother, always looking out for her and making sure Anna is okay. They play so well together and are truly really good friends. It's rare we can get them to hold still long enough for a picture but here they are (make sure you notice Anna's princess shoes)! Anyone who comes into our house BEWARE! Anna will put on your shoes and fight you for them when you try to take them back!

We think these might be her favorite next to the princess ones. I mean what girl doesn't like glitter shoes?? (I sure did)!

And even in pink princess shoes one can still play with trucks and tools!

We also might admit proudly that Anna has finally reached the 20 pound mark!! Yesterday at her 18 month appointment she was 20.4 pounds!!! You go girl!

Penny

We recently took care of a friend's dog for a week. Penny was one of the sweetest dogs we've met but she was so big!! She and Bear got along great and the kids adored her. But look how big she is!! We put Bear's old crate up for Penny. The kids loved playing in it

Fun in Little Rock

We met Uncle Jack and Aunt Barb in Little Rock over the weekend. It's almost been 4 months since we've seen them and we sure were missing them! We started the day at Wonder Place. Here's Dr. Anna and Aunt Barb at the water table Next Jackson and Anna checked out the slide

The next day we tried to go to this really cool park but it was so hot we had to go back to the hotel for some extra swimming. Here we are all sweaty

The kids were real troopers in the car. Jackson got a little zoned out yesterday

And then about an hour out of Dallas everyone kind of lost it. Jackson went into hiding and Anna finally fell asleep

Anna recently got some dress up things and "girlie toys" from neighbors and friends and Jackson is also quite entertained by them! Here's Anna dressed up as a princess---she LOVES the shoes! And Jackson was quite interested in the barbies and my little ponies

We are really enjoying our Summer so far--even if the temp outside is over 100. Luckily we have access to many pools to enjoy during the days.
