House pictures

This blog isn't too exciting but we finally have some house pics up. We still have boxes out sadly so we chose not to "feature" those rooms (or rooms like the office which are pretty crammed with unfiled papers these days) :) Most rooms don't have much on the walls. The only "complete" room is our family room. We are going to paint some of the rooms sometime in the future---hopefully sooner than later! We'll see if that actually happens before the baby arrives. Dinning room (very boring at the moment)

Jackson wanted to get a pose in

Play room---Jackson's favorite room in the house. I didn't get the walls and walls of bookshelves filled with toys so it actually looks quite clean

And of course, Mike's favorite room......

More fires

This weekend we had great weather. Cold but sunny. So we took bike rides and planted our bulbs and of course had more fires. Here's a picture of Jackson and Mike enjoying sitting (in the cold) by the fire last night. We tried to get Bear to pose with Jackson but it just didn't happen!

Come on Jackson light my fire

Since we just have a gas fireplace now in our house Jackson thinks it's fabulous to help Mike start a fire outside in our "real" fireplace.

Let's go to the Movies...

We took Jackson to see his first movie this past weekend. We saw Madagascar 2. He loved it. But before you can go to the movies you have to pick out the right shoes
and outfit!
And give your dog some extra snuggles

Jackson was so excited to go to the BIG MOVIE. We had been talking it up so he was ready.

He got to have a few bites of popcorn before my chocking scare kicked in and he had to settle for his snack bag.
But don't feel too sorry for him. He got to decorate his "snack bag" before coming to the movies and got to choose some yummy snacks like bugs, fish crackers, and O's to put inside.
When the movie was over he didn't want to leave. He wanted to watch it again. Hopefully another kid-friendly movie comes out soon because he can't wait to go back!

Conference call with God

This blog posting is for one of my best friends, Christina. She is fighting a brain tumor yet remains one of the strongest people I have ever known. Her husband, Jack, has named her Wonder Woman and she truly is just that! Jack asked us to pray today (Thursday, November 6, 2008) at noon for Christina in what he called a "conference call with God." Knowing I might lose track of time, I made sure to set my cell phone alarm clock for 10:59am (since we are an hour behind EST). Jackson and I were in the car driving home from a doctor's appointment and I had just enough time to pull off the interstate before it was time to pray. Jack had asked for as many people as possible to pray for Christina so I figured even though Jackson is only 2 years old his prayer counted just as much as someone older. I had him hold my hands while I said my prayer and then he said his own. Here's Christina. I stole this picture off her CaringBridge site. I love it because this says CHRISTINA to me!

Here's a quick video--re-enacted. Jackson actually said the prayer himself but in the video he had to be prompted (we have been practicing for 2 days so he was ready)! We love you Christina and pray for you everyday!!

Third time's a charm

Happy Halloween! This was Jackson's third Halloween and he loved it! He totally understood the concept of going from house to house and collecting candy. He got really good at saying Trick or Treat and even remembered to say thank you. He literally ran from house to house telling us which one he was going to next for MORE CANDY!! The good news for us? He slept until almost 9am the next morning!
Here's our construction worker/handy man (not crazy about the hat) And his candy bag

The first house

After the night was over he loved checking out all the treasure

Here he's asking for some more smarties

We tried to capture a little video but we ran out of memory half way through filming so this is what we got.
