Mike was out of town last weekend for his annual guys trip so the kids and I had big plans to still have a fun weekend even without Daddy. BUT I wasn't prepared for the excitement.
#1 In the middle of the night on Friday I had to take Jackson to the Emergency Room with a severe case of croup (a neighbor was nice enough to come over to stay with Anna).
#2 Sunday morning Anna fell and chipped her two front teeth
#3 Bear decided she didn't want to be left out and started limping putting no weight down on one of her legs.
The result:
Overall it was still a pretty okay weekend. Jackson is recovering slowly. Anna will have the opportunity to have her teeth repaired when she's a little older and as for Bear...well...she decided to start walking again.
WHEW :) We hope Daddy isn't out of town any time soon.

Big stuff
Even though Anna is still small enough to crawl into my bathroom drawer (her favorite morning activity) she still thinks she's bigger than she really is! (and a whole 19.1 pounds at her 15 month appointment. Holding strong in the 3%--go ANNA!)
We are finding that it really is true what they say about 2nd children. They do things much much earlier than the 1st born! Anna just wants to do everything her big brother does. Here she is trying to ride his bike...
Welcome Summer
With weather already in the 90s Summer is definitely here!
The kids love water entertainment and who says a little rain has to spoil the fun? Just use an umbrella!

Family of Geese that live in our neighborhood pond

Dinosaur Valley State Park. For Mother's Day we decided to drive out to this State Park and do some searching for dino tracks (they actually have real tracks in the river beds). Jackson thought this was way cooler than the tracks though

birthdays and visitors
Life gets pretty busy with two active children. That and the fact that Mike now works at home (and our home computer is in his office) puts a little damper in my abilities to get many blog postings done. Here are some pictures from last month. Mike and I both celebrated birthdays and had two sets of visitors so it was quite a busy month.
Here we are at some friends' houses celebrating birthdays!
