Family movie night
We had our first family movie night this weekend. It was lots of fun. We watched part of Toy Story and Jackson had his first popcorn and actually ate his whole bowl. I think his favorite part was making it and watching all the kernels pop into the bowl.

Jackson's political view
This is a short video of Jackson expressing his political views. Hopefully no one is offended by the making of this video---remember it is Jackson's views alone.

Nana and Papa visit
We have been so lucky this month to have both sets of Grandparents visit. This last weekend we had Mike's parents, a.k.a. Nana and Papa visit. It was such a great day that right before they arrived Jackson and I decided to have a picnic outside on the patio. Yummy!
Soon enough everyone arrived to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. I wish this picture was a better close up so you could see the look Jackson is giving Aunt Barb!

Uncle Jack and Nana enjoy some wine.

Jackson and I get to sit with the new flowers Nana and Papa brought to help brighten up the patio

And here's Jackson's new favorite thing to do. Hang out (literally)!

Dress up time
Jackson dug into our dress up box yesterday and I was excited thinking he really wanted to play "dress up". Turns out he only wanted to dress me up! This was by far his favorite and he was insistent I wear it most of the afternoon: scarf around the hair, bunny ears, and of course bandanna. Not sure what I was suppose to be but he seemed to think it quite funny.
I tried dressing Jackson but he was NOT thrilled as you can see and kept saying "no Mama. Mama dress up"

Mimi and Dow visit
Despite being sick while Laura's parents were in town last weekend we had a great time during their visit. Jackson and I were suffering from allergies and poor Mike is still recovering from bronchitis.
We did manage to fit in a trip to the Pumpkin Express
Jackson taught Dow how to drive a car with two steering wheels (facing different directions)

And of course you gotta hug pumpkins!

And pose with them.....

Because Jackson enjoyed building a firetruck with Mike so much we thought we'd try the Lowe's building experience again. This time Jackson made a skeleton! He definitely looks quite experienced don't you think?

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (says the skeleton)

And lucky us, the Flower Mound Fire Department had an open house so Jackson got to sit in a real firetruck! What a day

All fall down
This is an old video of Jackson from August but we keep forgetting to put it up and it's really funny. He was in a "pretend-falling down-phase" and this is the act caught on tape

Men at work
This picture is hard to see but the smiles are hard to deny. Mike took Jackson to a build-your-own-firetruck workshop at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. HUGE hit! Here's Jackson proudly showing off the firetruck they built (or should I say Jackson built---he hammered in all the nails!)
