9 weeks old!

Anna is 9 weeks old today! I feel like we are turning the corner from newborn to baby. She's smiling and talking a lot which is really fun. Her absolute favorite thing right now is Jackson which is good because I think the feeling is mutual. It looks like she's ready to defend herself from Jackson's kisses here. Jackson calls this "Anna being a turtle" so he was a turtle with her.

And we thought we'd throw in some pictures of Jackson (can't resist). Jackson finally got his wish to get in a digger at the Flower Mound Truck Rally a couple of weeks ago.

And it's always safe to sleep with a hot pad on because you never know what you might be waking up to!

One morning Mike went upstairs to find Jackson "fixing" his sign.

We had a great visit with Nana, Papa and GG who all came to visit last week. Plus we got to celebrate two birthdays!

Having visitors we got some extra help around the house and in getting some much needed yard work done too.

And there were no shortage of volunteers willing to hold Anna for us!

It was great having everyone visit. I even got to go to the gym every day---what a treat for me. It sure is nice to have the company and the help out with the kiddos. Jackson especially liked that 3 people came to see him and he loved having the extra playmates!

We miss you all already. Love you lots!

Super Dad

There is no other word to describe Mike right now except maybe Super Husband. Mike's birthday was this past Friday, the 17th and he just wanted a nice evening with family. Mike has been pulling double duty since Anna was born, not only taking care of our two kids but also me. I was sick last week and not only did he take off work but he took the night shifts with Anna ALL week (I would feed her but he stayed in her room until she was asleep which is HUGE help)! I knew I picked the right guy 10 years ago but little did I know my kids were going to have the best dad ever! Thanks Mike for all you have done and continue to do (without complaints I might add). You are tireless right now when it comes to helping me and playing with our lucky kiddos. I love you and Happy Birthday!!

Easter turned out to be a pretty rainy morning so we kept things low key this year. We did manage to get a picture of the kids in their coordinating outfits (if you can't tell Anna's dress had yellow flowers on it to match Jackson's yellow shirt) Anna's showing off her cool glasses
